6/10/07	Eddie "The Professor" Wied Johnny's long-time teacher and friend Eddie Wied passes away at Hopewell house as Johnny is out gigging with Bob Hernandez, another one of the "Original Cats".

08/25/04	The Release of "SAVE AS..." has been a success! The parties are over but sales are strong. It's Johnny's first 2-disc set, and highlights his last performance at the Viscount Ballroom with the sextet. 07/18/05	Don't Touch My Stuff Bobby! Latin band leader and Portland funny man Bobby Torres sits in with Johnny and the Sextet during the "Swingin' at the Coconut Grove", performance. Held at the enormous Yoshida Estate.

12/1/05	JSO Musician of the Month Johnny has been chosen, Musician of the Month for Dec. 2005 by the Jazz Society of Oregon. He has deserved this recognition by swinging the American Songbook with style and professionalism in over 2000 performances.
